LETTERS OF MAP AMENDMENT OR REVISION

LOMA VS LOMR
Letter of Map Amendment refers to a process where the owner of a  structure or defined area of land or both, that have not been altered in elevation by the use of fill dirt, can request removal from the Special Flood Hazard Area based on documentation such as an Elevation Certificate(survey).  For a list of completed LOMA properties in San Juan County CLICK HERE.

Letter of Map Revision refers to a process where the owner of a defined area of land or a structure elevated on fill dirt, can request the structure or area of land be removed from the Special Flood Hazard Area based on engineering documentation.
